Two-Factor Authentication
Secure your Keplars account with an authenticator app or email one-time codes
Add a second layer of security to your account by requiring a one-time code at sign-in. Keplars supports two methods: a TOTP authenticator app and email-based one-time codes. You can enable one or both.
Where to find it: Sign in to dash.keplars.com and navigate to Settings → Security.
Methods
Authenticator App
Uses a time-based one-time password (TOTP) generated by an app on your device. Works with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Bitwarden, and any other TOTP-compatible app.
Codes rotate every 30 seconds and work without an internet connection on your device.
Email OTP
Sends a one-time code to your account email address each time you sign in. No additional app required.
Email OTP depends on email delivery. If you use an authenticator app, keep it as your primary method for faster and more reliable access.
Enable Authenticator App
Open Security Settings
- Navigate to Settings → Security
- Locate the Multi-Factor Authentication section
- Toggle on Authenticator App
Scan the QR Code
Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on screen. If your app does not support QR scanning, tap Enter code manually to use the setup key directly.
Enter the Verification Code
Type the 6-digit code currently shown in your authenticator app and click Verify. This confirms your app is correctly synced.
Save Your Backup Codes
After verification, Keplars generates 10 single-use backup codes. Download or copy these and store them somewhere safe — they are the only way to recover access if you lose your device.
Enable Email OTP
Open Security Settings
- Navigate to Settings → Security
- Locate the Multi-Factor Authentication section
- Toggle on Email OTP
Confirm
Keplars sends a test code to your account email to confirm delivery. Enter the code to activate the method.
Backup Codes
Backup codes let you sign in when you cannot access your authenticator app or email. Each code can only be used once.

View Remaining Codes
The Security settings page shows how many backup codes you have left. When the count runs low, regenerate a new set.
Regenerate Backup Codes
Click Regenerate Backup Codes in Settings → Security. This invalidates all existing codes and issues a fresh set of 10.
Regenerating backup codes immediately invalidates your previous codes. Save the new set before closing the dialog.
Disable MFA
To turn off two-factor authentication entirely, click Disable MFA in Settings → Security and confirm when prompted.
Disabling MFA removes all active methods and invalidates your backup codes. Your account will only require a password to sign in.
Sign In with MFA
When MFA is active, after entering your password you will be prompted for a second factor:
- Authenticator App: Open your app and enter the current 6-digit code
- Email OTP: Check your inbox for the one-time code and enter it
- Backup Code: Enter one of your saved backup codes if you cannot access the other methods
If you have both methods enabled, you can choose which to use at the prompt.
